Testimonials
“Please relay a BIG thank you to your entire VFX staff at iloura that contributed to the completion of all the stunning finals that your facility created for the Baz Luhrmann film Australia. The level of work that you accomplished in such a short time and tight budget to support an epic movie on this level were an immense undertaking. The studio and filmmakers feel that you achieved a high level of success in all these areas and delivered the highest quality work that was essential for this project. Again, thank you for all the hard work, long hours and commitment to your craft”.
Todd Isroelit, Vice President/ Visual Effects,
Twentieth Century-Fox Film
“You have done an exemplary job and are a credit to Iloura’s commitment to excellence! I am so glad that through the opportunity of Australia, we got to discover Iloura... a wealth of talent that I very much look forward to working with again!”.
Diana Giorgiutti, VFX Producer, Australia
“Please thank all of your crew for me. I had a great time, the material was complex and the work was excellent”.
Chris Godfrey, VFX Supervisor, Australia
“Working with the iloura team on Where The Wild Things Are has been a great pleasure. I can honestly say that they have gone beyond the call of duty when it came to really exploring the creative issues involved in what can only be described as a unique pipeline. Technically iloura were able to bring innovative solutions to the table and creatively, they were able to crack the performance of the characters very early on in the piece”.
Daniel Jeanette, Director of Animation, Where The Wild Things Are
“Working with iloura was a really pleasant experience. We had to find a skilled VFX house in Melbourne who could deliver seamless visual effects in a timely manner and iloura were definitely up for it. Thanks guys for a job well done!”.
Roger Donaldson, Director, The Bank Job
“You guys did such a fantastic job on Wilbur and the film. You were a dream to work with. Creative, timely, honest, passionate and great executors. Impressive in every way. A joy in every way. We have a film that will be around for a lot longer than any of us. We all have a right to be proud. Thank you so much for all of iloura’s hard work and never giving up!”.
Jordan Kerner, Producer, Charlotte’s Web
“Iloura took on one of the greatest challenges of the film, really. Unlike all the other digital creations in the film, they“ had to match real animals. They really made Wilbur special. They made it possible for him to do the things that a ‘terrific’ pig needs to do without spoiling the realism and natural tone of the story and the movie. The scene where Ike the horse faints at the sight of Charlotte is still one of my favourites in the movie. I still laugh every time. Iloura worked really hard not only on the photorealistic rendering, which is spot-on, but on finding exactly the right performance for Ike, balancing realistic equine action against the comedic performance needed to get the laugh. That’s a great effects shot. When we were looking for effects houses for Charlotte’s Web we talked to every house in Australia and we asked all the hard questions about technique, methods and approach. Iloura had all the right answers as far as I was concerned and they got one of the toughest assignments because of it. It was also a real pleasure to work with everyone in Melbourne. They have real dedication there and a great group of talented people to make that dedication show up on the screen”.
John Andrew Berton, VFX Supervisor, Charlotte’s Web
“Thanks for your great work and the wonderful spirit of all involved. The visual FX are as good as any I’ve ever worked with”.
Phillip Noyce, Director, Catch a Fire
